Global Presence

Ambu is a global company. By this we mean that we are present across the globe and – equally as important – that we collaborate across great distances. For instance we have video conference equipment at each of our locations enabling us to meet without traveling.

Number of employees

From 2001 to 2011 the average number of employees at Ambu has grown from 825 employees to approximately 1600 employees.

These key figures are based on the number of employees in Ambu worldwide and show a geographical breakdown of employees and the progress in the number of employees at Ambu. 

It is clear from this graph that the majority of the employees at Ambu are located in Asia (74%). 12% work in Denmark, 8% are located in one of our sales companies in Europe and 6% of our employees are located in USA.

Locations

Our headquarters are located outside Copenhagen in a small industrial area adjacent to the village of Pederstrup in Ballerup. Roughly 150 employees work at the HQ in Denmark.

Penang, Malaysia

Our location in Malaysia is situated on the island of Penang, on the northwest Malaysian peninsula. Ambu’s production and administrative facilities cover 10,000 sq.m., with about 450 employees. The production at Penang pertains mainly to products for Cardiology and Neurology.

Xiamen, China

Xiamen is located in the southern part of the Fujian province. Roughly 1.24 million people live in Xiamen, of who approximately 800 work at Ambu. Our production and administrative facilities in Xiamen cover 19,000 sq.m.
