In MRI departments ECG electrodes are primarily used for triggering during scans of the heart and Aorta. Triggering is used to allow MRI imaging to be synchronized with the physically still periods between heartbeats.
The Ambu Blue Sensor MRX features a strong adhesion and a special shape that keeps the electrode firmly in place during the entire application. Furthermore, the electrode provides a good ECG trace for monitoring and triggering despite the extreme influence from the MR scanner.
